Job Summary:
The Environmental Project Manager position has the advanced knowledge, experience, and education in applying scientific theory and methods to identify, research, and resolve environmental issues in the areas of regulatory compliance, public health, environmental health, and pollution prevention.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
May supervise and manage junior staff for specific project assignments. Coach, train, and motivate staff assigned to environmental projects. Participate in interviewing and hiring staff.
Duties/Responsibilities:
•Performs, plans, and executes fieldwork and data collection pursuant to state and federal regulations.
•Perform complex analyses for specific portions of broader engineering and environmental projects.
•Performs assessments which may include Wetland and Waters of US Delineations/Determinations to US Army Corps of Engineers procedures, Threatened and Endangered Species habitat assessments, and Vegetation assessments.
•Participate in the identification and pursuit of new clients, learn to develop additional work within an existing project, and attend business development meetings with new and existing clients.
•Performs and monitors compliance inspections throughout all construction phases.
•Collects data with global positioning systems devices and uses, collects, and analyzes Geographic Information Systems data.
•Records, analyzes, prepares, and evaluates field findings into reports and presentations to project managers, regulatory agency staff, and clients.
•Meeting and communicating effectively with clients and regulatory agencies while being responsible for establishing and maintaining new and existing relationships with clients, regulatory agencies, and internal cross functioning company teams to meet the goals, needs, and business development of the Company.
•Relevant project management experience with the ability to lead new corporate development opportunities and acquisitions and the ability to support multiple projects with multifaceted environmental and regulatory issues.
•Other duties may be assigned.

Additional Eligibility Qualifications:
•Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
Education and Experience:
•Bachelor of Science in Biology, Environmental Science, Botany, Soil Science, or related field from an accredited program required with a minimum of five-seven years related experience or combination degree, certifications, and experience; conducting wetland assessments and delineations; performing wetland mitigation and post-construction monitoring inspections/reporting; analyzing GIS data; preparing environmental assessments and permitting documents; performing field investigations and associated field work.
•Professional Wetland Scientist and consulting experience preferred.
Demonstrated knowledge of wetlands and aquatic resources, Section 401, 404, and Section 10 permitting requirements.
•Bureau of Land Management and Bureau of Indian Affairs expertise.
•Demonstrated knowledge of regulatory agencies that govern aquatic resources, erosion control and site restoration practices.
•Demonstrated proficiency operating GPS and GIS equipment and support software.
Physical Requirements: This position will require duties in both field settings and office settings, (example: in order to collect data, do field evaluations within the applicable field settings, and to write reports, perform research, conduct, present, and attend meetings the applicable office settings), as outlined in the job functions which correlates to the physical job requirements:

The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds within the office environment. Work Authorization/Security Clearance:
•Must be authorized to work in the United States.
•Additional security/criminal background checks maybe required by the contractual/government client(s).
Travel:
•Frequent overnight to field locations.
•Field assignments may extend up to a week or longer.
•Field assignments may be in remote locations.
Hours:
•Normal field/office hours may vary from 7 A.M. to 6 P.M., Monday-Friday.
•Other hours and days may be necessary to accomplish goals and complete projects due to time, weather, or client constraints.
