This role requires you to be an innovator in relation to energy and decarbonisation strategy, as well as a highly effective communicator, with a strong understanding of BMS management and strategy, energy initiatives, and the relevant contractual, statutory legislative requirements relative to energy and decarbonisation.
A confident and experienced professional who is driven by the notion of excellence in compliance, customer satisfaction and continuous improvement. You will take responsibility for leading the Trust’s energy and decarbonisation strategy and shaping the strategic and operational approach, including engineering mindset, in this area.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
Development and delivery of the Trust’s energy strategy and policy
Development of long-term sustainable efficiency initiatives to reduce energy consumption and reduce CO2
Development and implementation of behavioural change initiatives to improve awareness and reduce energy usage
Management of energy and utility contracts including the Trusts Energy Centres and combined heat and power plant
Monitor, record and approve utility contract spend for each Trust site
Working with Procurement and the Capital Programme Delivery team to ensure projects and purchases give energy and utility consumption appropriate consideration
Develop and implement on-going cost improvement initiatives
Preparation of associated energy budgets, forecasts and compiling regular complex senior management and board level reports
