Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support to operations and maintenance teams to diagnose equipment issues and resolve complex mechanical failures.
- Analyze equipment performance using condition monitoring systems, SCADA data, and inspection findings to identify trends and potential reliability risks.
- Lead or support root cause failure analysis (RCFA) and implement corrective actions to prevent repeat failures.
- Support the development and optimization of preventive and predictive maintenance programs across wind, solar, and hydro assets.
- Lead reliability initiatives including condition monitoring, lubrication analysis, blade inspection strategies, and other mechanical integrity programs.
- Provide field engineering support for major maintenance activities, component replacements, and commissioning efforts.
- Collaborate with site teams, vendors, and OEM partners to improve maintenance practices, reduce downtime, and strengthen equipment performance.
- Support asset lifecycle planning, spare parts strategies, and reliability improvements across the operating portfolio.
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with BluEarth’s health, safety, and environmental standards.
Education:
One of the following is required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline (EIT or eligibility for P.Eng preferred), or
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technology with C.E.T. or equivalent professional designation preferred.
- Candidates with equivalent technical training, demonstrated experience, or a strong track record in reliability, data analysis, and technical problem-solving will also be considered.
- A Vibration Analysis certification (e.g., CMVA or equivalent) is considered an asset.
Experience & Requirements:

A minimum of 3 years experience in reliability engineering, maintenance, or field engineering in renewable energy or heavy industry.

Hands-on experience with mechanical systems such as turbines, gearboxes, bearings, lubrication systems, blades, solar trackers, or hydro mechanical equipment.

Experience working with condition monitoring systems, oil analysis, SCADA data, and CMMS platforms.

Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

Effective collaboration and communication skills when working with site teams and vendors.

Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to operating sites, including remote locations.
