We are looking to hire a strategically minded, business-oriented, and effective colleague to play a key role in shaping Hydro’s global reward strategy going forward: making reward easier to understand, engage with, more transparent, and be proud of.
What we offer you
-
A key role in further developing one of the priority areas in Hydro’s People Strategy.
-
Great opportunities for professional learning, development, and exposure. You will be part of a highly competent, dedicated, and inclusive team - the Group People & Reward function - and work closely with HR Business Partners, others teams in reward, communications, learning & development as well as business leaders and employees, globally.
-
Competitive salary and an attractive pension scheme.
What you will be doing
-
In this role, you will lead and continue to shape the strategic direction of global reward initiatives, and ensure effective communication and integration of reward practices across the organization.
-
You will own selected global reward programs, design communication strategies and training frameworks, and embed reward into the broader employee experience and employer branding efforts—linking reward to Hydro’s Employee Listening and our long-term business goals.
-
In close collaboration with corporate management and global stakeholders, you will drive a clear and consistent global reward strategy, ensuring messages are accessible, engaging, and locally adaptable. You will develop and execute communication and training frameworks for reward across employee segments, maintain and refresh global reward guidelines, and establish a global reward communication toolkit with templates and messaging guides.
-
A critical part of the role is to integrate reward into leadership development and learning platforms, ensuring HR, leaders, and employees understand how reward supports performance, engagement and pay transparency.
-
You will drive continuous improvement, translating complex reward concepts into compelling narratives, measuring impact, and ensuring alignment between reward, brand, and culture.
What will make you successful?
-
We believe you have 10+ years’ experience from reward, benefits, reward analytics, or related fields, with hands-on experience designing and implementing global reward programs - preferably in a matrix organization.
-
You bring a strong background in communication strategy and employee engagement, and are familiar with learning platforms and training design.
-
Core competencies include strategic thinking, cross-functional collaboration and influence, learning design and facilitation, and strong brand/EVP awareness.
- You combine a structured and analytical approach with creative and conceptual strengths. You are skilled at synthesizing complex topics into simple, engaging messages, and you thrive when collaborating across functions, cultures, and time zones. You are motivated by building scalable frameworks, and you balance cost consciousness with a keen eye for competitiveness and employee experience.
-
Fluency in English is required.
