The HR Operations Manager leads HR operational processes across Asia Pacific Business Unit countries, ensuring consistency and efficiency. This role is responsible for designing and delivering effective HR services in areas such as Core HR, Global Mobility, Compensation, Benefits, and Payroll including overseeing effective operation, optimization, and utilization of Workday systems to ensure data accuracy and seamless HR service delivery.
The HR Operations Manager leads regional HR operations across Asia Pacific, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and operational excellence. The role oversees global mobility assignments, manages compensation cycles, ensures timely payroll and benefits administration, and maintains high‑quality people data through Workday as the system of record. They maintain strong vendor relationships, monitor regulatory developments, and conduct audits to mitigate risk. They also drive process improvements, resolve complex HR issues, and provide expert guidance to stakeholders to ensure seamless HR service delivery across diverse geographies. In addition, the role manages complex projects, ensures adherence to organizational policies and local regulations, fosters collaboration between the People Team and Business Units, and aligns HR operational processes with TNC’s mission and strategic priorities.
The HR Operations Manager reports to the HR Director, Asia Pacific.
RESPONSIBILITIES & SCOPE
Support regional HR operations, including global mobility programs (immigration, personnel movement, relocation), compensation cycles, payroll, benefits administration, and ongoing process enhancements.
Provide oversight of payroll accuracy, statutory benefits administration, and reconciliation of all related reports, ensuring compliance with local regulations.
Lead and coordinate compensation and benefits cycles, ensuring alignment with organizational policies, governance, and timelines.
Act as the regional Workday subject matter expert, ensuring system integrity, high‑quality data, and consistent application of One TNC ERP: Workday standards as the single source of truth.
Partner with global Workday teams to support implementations, releases, testing, and continuous improvement while representing regional needs within established governance, security, and reporting frameworks.
Provide hands-on guidance, coaching, and change support to HR, managers, and employees, translating global Workday processes into practical, compliant usage and driving confident adoption.
Manage projects, contracts, and vendor relationships, building strong partnerships with internal teams and external providers to ensure high service standards and compliance.
Provide guidance on complex HR issues, respond to inquiries, and deliver excellent customer service with discretion, professionalism, and sensitivity.
Analyze data and processes, conduct audits, maintain documentation, and drive continuous improvement, including process automation and efficiency gains across HR operations.
Act independently based on subject matter expertise, escalating issues as needed and collaborating effectively with stakeholders across regions.
Monitor legislative and regulatory changes, communicating updates and ensuring adherence to organizational policies, protocols, and compliance standards, particularly in high‑risk areas.
Maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive information with the highest level of integrity.
Contribute to change management initiatives and cross‑functional HR projects that enhance employee experience and operational effectiveness.

What You’ll Bring:
Bachelor’s degree or a minimum of 5 years related work experience in area(s) of specialization or equivalent combination.
Experience coordinating and leading projects.
Experience responding to HR related questions and problems from employees/management.
Experience in one or more of the following areas: database management and spreadsheet software; constructing and producing reports; data input, manipulation, and analysis.
Experience working with MS Office software, including Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint
Experience and expertise demonstrated in Workday, with the ability to utilize the platform efficiently in a complex HR environment.
Fluent in verbal and written English.
Desired Qualifications:
Ability to independently balance competing priorities.
Ability to work effectively and efficiently with internal and external partners.
Ability to manage vendor engagements, including RFPs and contracts, and hold them accountable to service level agreements.
Experience in developing written guidelines, protocols, process flows, policies.
Advanced understanding of fundamental HR concepts, processes, and services.
Multi-lingual skills and multi-cultural or cross-cultural experience appreciated.
Solid knowledge of word processing, database management, and spreadsheet software. Ability to construct and produce reports, data input, manipulation, analysis and share outcomes and findings with stakeholders and other audiences.
