Crusoe is on a mission to accelerate the abundance of energy and intelligence. As the only vertically integrated AI infrastructure company built from the ground up, we own and operate each layer of the stack — from electrons to tokens — to power the world's most ambitious AI workloads. When you join Crusoe, you join a team that is building the future, faster.
We're in the midst of the greatest industrial revolution of our time. The demand for AI compute is boundless, and power is a bottleneck. We're solving that — with an energy-first approach that makes AI infrastructure better for the world and faster for the people innovating with AI.
We're looking for problem-solving, opportunity-finding teammates with a sense of urgency, who believe in the scale of our ambition and thrive on a path not fully paved — people who want to grow their careers alongside a team of experts across energy, manufacturing, data center construction, and cloud services.
If you want to do the most meaningful work of your career, help our customers and partners advance their AI strategies, and be part of a high-performing team that believes in each other, come build with us at Crusoe.
About the Role:
Crusoe's Cloud Product team is hiring a Senior Technical Program Manager to lead technical projects, aligning Product and Engineering. This role requires a high-level individual contributor comfortable with ambiguity, passionate about AI infrastructure and managed services, and capable of defining program frameworks in a fast-paced environment.
Our vision is the easiest-to-use AI purpose-built cloud. We offer IaaS products, letting AI/ML engineers focus on AI model frameworks (PyTorch, Ray) and compute stacks (CUDA, ROCm) while Crusoe manages the underlying complexity. Our platform standardizes firmware/OS bundles and automates component orchestration for consistent, scalable infrastructure. We also offer AI Managed Services, like SLA-bounded Managed Inference. The TPM connects engineering, product, procurement, and data center operations to deliver a reliable platform where customers run AI workloads without managing low-level system details.
TPM engagement covers strategic company projects: multi-quarter, cross-functional product developments; NPI and large data center deployments; and highly cross-functional technical projects.
The ideal candidate is an engineer-rooted, hands-on operator with technical depth to solve challenges and anticipate risks early. You will personally lead the hardest programs, establish velocity and accountability, govern critical dependencies, and ensure Product/Engineering priorities align with market needs.
What You'll Be Working On:
End-to-End Program Ownership of AI IaaS & Managed Services projects;
Hands-On Execution: Personally manage complex, high-risk technical programs and intervene to correct initiatives as needed;
Roadmap Leadership: Collaborate with Product/Engineering to develop and deliver a multi-quarter roadmap;
Risk & Dependency Governance: Proactively identify technical, organizational, and business risks (internal/external) and facilitate departmental/executive decisions;
Capacity & Investment Planning: Assess technical resource needs (human capital, cloud infrastructure, vendors) to ensure adequate funding and staffing for high-priority initiatives;
External Partner Engagement: Coordinate programs with external dependencies such as hardware deployment, vendor integrations, or data center operations. Experience engaging with hardware partners on certification, validation, and infrastructure stack alignment.
Execution Frameworks: Implement lightweight, scalable TPM frameworks to establish execution while navigating ambiguity. Establish dashboards, metrics, and predictability across engineering teams, promoting iterative improvements as Crusoe Cloud scales.
What You'll Bring to the Team:
AI Infrastructure Fluency: Deep technical knowledge of AI infrastructure and managed services, driven by a passion for innovation and user experience. Experience with cloud infrastructure spanning both hardware and software boundaries - including firmware, hypervisor optimization, drivers, and GPU compute. Familiarity with IaaS, Kubernetes, storage, and networking is a plus.
Experience at Growth/Scale phases: 10+ years as a Technical Program Manager in a fast-paced tech company, managing software-heavy and/or AI hardware projects across the stack.
AI Tool Integration: Daily, active use of AI tools to enhance workflows, efficiency, and the TPM function.
Strategic Influence: Proven ability to influence technical and executive leaders without direct authority, translating strategy into technical delivery.
Executive Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication for delivering concise, high-fidelity and data-driven updates on program status to the executive team.
What This Role Is Not:
Not a PMO role: You will not be architecting operating models for others; you are responsible for the execution, and you are bringing a technical value-add;
Not a People Management Role: You will not have direct reports, as the Senior Director of TPM manages the broader organization;
Light pre-existing structure: You should not assume existing tools or processes; you will build what is needed (although we already adopted Jira broadly across Engineering).
Bonus Points
Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field;
Experience operating in a scaled Agile/Scrum environment;
Proven track record of managing programs with external dependencies or complex partner integrations.
Experience at a hyper-growth company.
