Job Description:
1. Month-End Close & Reporting
Lead the month-end close process, ensuring all timelines are met and data integrity is maintained Oversee the preparation and posting of all journal entries to ensure the General Ledger is current. Manage the "Hard Close" of books and ensure all subsidiary ledgers match the GL.
2. Preparing Financial Statements
Prepare accurate financial statements (Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss, Cash Flow) in compliance with Ind AS Analyze financial data to ensure accuracy and completeness before final presentation to leadership. Prepare monthly management reports (MIS) highlighting key financial performance metrics.
3. Prepare Reconciliations
Prepare and review detailed reconciliations for all bank accounts, ensuring zero un-reconciled item Perform General Ledger (GL) and Sub-ledger reconciliations to identify and resolve discrepancies promptly. Reconcile inter-company transactions and balances on a monthly basis.
4. Leadership Support
Act as the "Right Hand" to the Finance Head, assisting with high-level financial reviews and strategic decisions. Supervise the daily activities of the junior accounting team, providing guidance and reviewing work quality. Represent the finance function in internal meetings when the Finance Head is unavailable.
5. Audit, Controls & Compliance
Assist in managing Statutory and Internal Audits by providing necessary schedules, data, and explanations. Ensure strict adherence to internal controls, SOPs, and approval matrices.
Ensure timely completion of statutory compliances (TDS, GST, etc.) in coordination with the tax team.
