Major Duties
These positions are located in Big South Fork National River and Recreation Area, in the Visitor Services Division. DUTIES: Performs lifeguard services during assigned tours of duty, including search and rescue, lifesaving, and preventative lifeguarding. Uses a variety of techniques such as artificial respiration, cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), and first-aid. Provides basic first aid for minor injuries such as cuts, insect stings, strains, etc. Monitors pool facility for illegal, unsafe, or harmful activities. Resolves minor infractions. Provides basic information to visitors concerning the Recreation Area and surrounding areas.
