Summary
These positions are located in the Trails Maintenance Division at Acadia National Park. The typical seasonal period is May-October but can be variable during these months due to weather conditions, project needs, or funding. Anticipated Entry on Duty: May 2026.
Major Duties
This is an open continuous announcement. Applicants will be referred throughout the announcement period. Final application disposition will be completed once all positions are filled or announcement reaches the closing date. The first cut-off date is 11:59 pm (EST), February 23, 2026. Routine maintenance and construction of hiking trails, trail drainages (water bars, dips, and culverts), iron pins and handrails, stonework, and trail bridges. Marking trails with rock cairns and blazes. Moving materials to job sites. Safely and effectively using and properly maintaining hand and power tools required for the job. Operating and performing minor operator maintenance on light duty motor vehicles within the park.
