We're seeking an experienced Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Program Manager to transform workplace safety and drive innovative risk management strategies. You'll collaborate across multiple teams, designing proactive safety solutions, conducting strategic risk assessments, and creating meaningful training programs. You'll move between lab spaces, leadership meetings, and collaborative planning sessions, always focused on creating a safer, more resilient work environment.

Key job responsibilities
- Assess and cost-effectively implement programs to manage Lab EHS-related risks, with the long-term objective to reduce risks and eliminate hazards, while supporting innovation.
- Conduct investigations of working conditions in lab spaces for the prevention of occupational disease and industrial health hazards, with specific references to chemicals, lasers, radiation, robotics, noise and other potential employee health hazards.
- Develop and implement EHS training programs that will engage all levels of Lab teams on EHS responsibilities, compliance requirements and safety cultural progression within the Global Labs portfolio.
- Provide leadership on EHS issues within the labs team, assist senior leaders in understanding business impacts of EHS issues, thereby enabling prudent allocation of resources and decision-making.
- Support and conduct lab EHS audits and develop action plans to resolve EHS findings and implement solutions and countermeasures promptly and effectively.
- Serve as a key contact for state and local government agencies that have jurisdiction over Lab126 sites.
- Collaborate with colleagues across multiple disciplines within the company to assure effective EHS program implementation and cohesiveness.
- Perform data analytics on company and industry EHS information to drive improvement initiatives.
- Ensure full compliance with applicable laws, regulations and customer requirements.
- Remain up-to-date and conversant with relevant laws, regulations and other statutory requirements that affect EHS in a laboratory setting.
A day in the life
In this role, you'll spend your days analyzing workplace safety challenges systematically, developing scalable solutions that protect our team members while maintaining operational efficiency. You'll manage your own project portfolio, prioritizing multiple EHS initiatives based on risk assessment and business impact, all while meeting critical implementation deadlines that keep our safety programs on track.
Your typical day involves collaborating with operations leaders, facilities teams, and frontline employees to design innovative solutions for complex Environmental, Health and Safety challenges unique to our business. The fast-paced environment means you'll need to quickly adapt your approach as business needs evolve and new safety priorities emerge, making each day dynamic and engaging.
Success in this position comes from driving measurable safety improvements by balancing independent action with cross-functional teamwork. You'll partner with operations, engineering, and leadership teams in our entrepreneurial culture, where your ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively will help create safer workplaces across our organization.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 5+ years of increasing responsibilities in EHS or environmental programs in manufacturing, production, or service operations experience
- 5+ years of increasing responsibilities in EHS or environmental programs in manufacturing, production, or service operations experience
- 5+ years of working directly with government officials and regulatory bodies experience
- 3+ years of implementing safety standards experience
- 7+ years of increasingly responsible roles in safety and/or environmental programs within manufacturing, production, service operations, or other relevant experience
- Master's degree in an EHS related discipline
- EHS-related licenses, or certifications (i.e. Certified Industrial Hygienist, Certified Safety Professional, Certified Hazardous Materials Manager, or similar).
- 2+ years of experience in managing EHS programs in a fast pace, high tech organization, at a regional/global level.
- A proven track record of driving the EHS agenda in a multi-stakeholder organization, and possess the ability to engage the workforce at all levels in the journey to build a strong EHS culture for Lab126.
- Experience managing one or more of the following programs: Electrical safety, laser safety and/or related programs in an R&D setting.
- Operational or business management experience, with lean manufacturing tools and techniques.
- Have a collaborative, team-oriented approach to EHS management across the enterprise

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
