The Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Specialist oversees the implementation of the Company’s EHS programs at multiple Camping World locations. This role drives continuous improvement in safety culture, environmental stewardship, and risk mitigation across assigned locations. This position is based in Lincolnshire, IL with a hybrid schedule and travel of up to 50% to assigned locations.
Key Responsibilities
Provide oversight and support to assigned dealerships with implementation of all EHS initiatives to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local EHS laws, rules, regulations, operational effectiveness, and alignment with Company goals.
Enhance safety programs, policies, procedures, training, and audits to establish operational discipline and individual accountability.
Oversee federal, state, and local health and safety inspections, incident investigations, citation responses, timely regulatory reporting, and execution of remediation activities.
Build strong cross-functional relationships across operations, construction, legal, HR, and finance.
Partner with location, regional, and corporate leaders to champion a culture of safety excellence and operational integrity.
Track and communicate key compliance metrics, safety-related statistics, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities with appropriate stakeholders.
Execute and audit all EHS Programs throughout Camping World Dealerships.
Travel responsibilities up to 50%; some travel with short notice.
Complete the OSHA #511 Occupational Safety and Health Standards for General Industry
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in occupational environmental, safety, and health (or similar) from an accredited college or university.
Minimum of three to five years of professional experience within environmental, health, and safety fields.
Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
Ability to obtain the Associate Safety Professional (ASP) or Certified Safety Professional (CSP) certification by the Board of Certified Safety Professional.

Ability to lead heavily through influence with multiple stakeholders.
Ability to effectively collaborate with varying levels of leadership, with both field operations and corporate
Proven ability to work independently, take initiative, and lead with ambiguity.
Strategic thinker with strong analytical and risk management capabilities.
Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the flexibility to oversee safety across a geographically diverse company.

The pay range for this role considers several factors in making compensation decisions including but not limited to: skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. At Camping World, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the factors stated. A reasonable estimate of the current range is listed below.
Pay Range:
$75,390 - $94,185 Annual
