We are looking for a Sustainability Specialistbased in our Espoo office to join Gasum’s Sustainability & HSEQ team for a fixed-term position covering parental leave from May 2026 to April 2027.
Our purpose is to secure access to cleaner energy for our customers. We help them navigate the energy transition towards continuously reducing emissions. Our areas of expertise are biogas, liquefied biogas (LBG), natural gas, liquefied natural gas (LNG) and electricity markets. We own and operate biogas plants and an extensive network of gas filling stations in the Nordic countries. Our customers include industry and businesses that use a lot of energy as well as maritime and land transport providers.
In this role, you will play a key part in supporting our ESG work, enhancing sustainability processes, and contributing to Gasum’s wider decarbonisation and reporting efforts.
At Gasum, our Sustainability and HSEQ teams plays a pivotal role in the sustenance and growth of our business. Our team of six of sustainability and HSEQ professionals is committed to committed to driving responsible operations, ensuring the highest standards of safety and quality, and supporting the transition toward a low‑carbon energy future. Together, we work proactively across the organization to integrate sustainability into decision‑making, strengthen compliance, and build trust with our stakeholders.
Main responsibilities in the role are:
- Maintain the sustainability systems for biogas.
- Data management: Collect, structure, and maintain ESG-related data in a reliable and organized manner.
- Process documentation & cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with internal stakeholders across business functions to gather and support ESG initiatives. Support the fulfilment of customer sustainability data requests.
- Reporting & analysis: Support the sustainability reports and disclosures such as ESRS data collection, EcoVadis, and CDP.
What we expect from you:
- Experience or educational background in sustainability, environmental engineering, energy, or a related field.
- You may be a recent graduate or have a few years of relevant work experience.
- Understanding of ESG frameworks and EU renewable energy directive is considered an advantage.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to manage complex data sets.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills in a cross-functional environment. English is required as a working language.
- Proactive attitude, willingness to learn, and ability to work independently.
