Senior Project Manager – Utility-Scale Solar
Location: Texas (Travel to Project Sites 1–3 Days/Week)

Position Overview
We are partnering with a growing industrial contractor that has expanded into utility-scale solar, data centers, and oil & gas infrastructure. With a major 800 MW solar project ramping up, the team is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead projects from preconstruction through closeout.
This role is highly focused on financial ownership and commercial performance. The ideal candidate brings strong utility-scale solar experience, understands the full construction lifecycle, and is confident managing project financials, forecasts, and risk while coordinating with field teams.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead utility-scale solar projects from notice to proceed through mechanical completion and turnover
• Own full project financial performance including budget management, cost forecasting, and margin protection
• Develop and maintain detailed project forecasts, cash flow projections, and cost-to-complete reporting
• Identify financial risks and implement mitigation strategies early in the project lifecycle
• Partner closely with field construction teams to ensure alignment between schedule, cost, and execution
• Oversee subcontractor and vendor financial performance, change orders, and contract compliance
• Support executive reporting with clear visibility into project health, risks, and opportunities
• Coordinate with estimating, procurement, engineering, and site leadership throughout project execution
• Travel to project sites approximately 1–3 days per week as required
Required Qualifications
• 8–15+ years of project management experience in utility-scale solar or closely related EPC environments
• Demonstrated experience delivering multiple large-scale projects cradle-to-grave (10–15 projects preferred)
• Strong financial acumen with deep understanding of project budgets, forecasting, and cost controls
• Solid working knowledge of solar construction sequencing and field operations
• Experience managing projects in Texas strongly preferred
• Ability to operate at both the executive/financial level and the construction execution level
• Willingness to travel to project sites regularly
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with multi-state project portfolios (Texas, Arizona, Wyoming a plus)
• Background with contractors or EPC firms
• Strong financial mindset with ability to protect and improve project margins
• PMP or similar certification is a plus
