The MV Supervisor is responsible for the safe installation, testing, commissioning, operation, and maintenance of medium-voltage electrical systems (typically 1 kV–33 kV) on renewable energy projects. This role ensures compliance with electrical standards, project specifications, and health & safety requirements while coordinating site activities and personnel.
Supervise MV electrical works including: MV cabling (installation, jointing, terminations)
Switchgear, transformers, RMUs, substations
Oversee MV testing and commissioning activities:
Insulation resistance, VLF, primary/secondary injection
Protection relay testing and verification
Coordinate MV energisation, isolation, and switching activities
Review and approve MV method statements, procedures, and ITPs
Ensure correct interpretation of electrical drawings, schematics, and single-line diagrams
Interface with grid operators, utilities, and client representatives during grid connection activities. Enforce high-voltage and medium-voltage safety rules and permit-to-work systems
Conduct toolbox talks, risk assessments, and job safety analyses
Ensure compliance with:

- IEC, IEEE, or equivalent standards
- Project HSE requirements and LOTO procedures
Investigate incidents and near misses; implement corrective actions
Lead and supervise electricians, technicians, and subcontractors
Coordinate with civil, mechanical, SCADA, and commissioning teams
Monitor progress, productivity, and quality of MV works
Support punch-list closure and handover documentation
