A senior engineering opportunity is available for an experienced Lead Electrical Engineer who would like to be part of large-scale energy and infrastructure projects supporting the transition toward sustainable power solutions in the Netherlands.
This role is suited to an engineer who enjoys combining technical leadership with project delivery, working across multiple projects while guiding engineering teams and ensuring high-quality design outcomes.
About the Role
You will take ownership of electrical engineering deliverables across complex projects, overseeing design activities from early concept stages through to detailed implementation. The position requires strong coordination skills, technical oversight, and the ability to manage priorities within deadline-driven project environments.
You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure designs meet technical, commercial, and operational requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead electrical engineering design activities across multiple projects
- Translate functional requirements into practical engineering solutions
- Establish technical standards and design guidelines
- Manage engineering planning, timelines, and resource allocation
- Review and approve technical documentation and design outputs
- Provide technical direction to internal teams and external partners
- Monitor project progress from both technical and budget perspectives
- Maintain effective communication with project stakeholders and clients
- Ensure compliance with industry and safety standards
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- Approximately 15+ years’ experience within electrical engineering environments
- Strong experience in medium- and high-voltage systems
- Background in energy, utilities, industrial plants, or infrastructure projects
- Demonstrated leadership within engineering or project environments
- Strong coordination, communication, and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to manage several projects simultaneously
