DescriptionSystems Administrator I will perform work in the Solarity infrastructure on Windows and Linux systems supporting both internal a customer facing applications. This position is directly responsible for escalation points from our support teams and for escalating unresolved issues within the Infrastructure team for resolution. This position will work primarily in the Windows OS & Linux platforms with some work in hypervisors, networking, and firewall configuration.
Primary Responsibilities
- Work directly with Systems Administrators, support teams and other invested departments to develop, implement and support technology solutions which address identified business and customer needs.
- Lead cross-training of the IT Support team members as they will be performing basic support of the solutions you design.
- Develop thorough and accurate standard operating procedures and knowledge base content for solutions and processes.
- Take the initiative to improve processes, solutions and configurations rather than transact on legacy procedures.
- Take personal ownership of daily tasks and challenges, ensuring resolution with a high degree of quality and customer satisfaction, with a minimum of direct supervision.
- Quickly and effectively troubleshoot escalated issues.

- Serve as an escalation point for support teams with unresolved issues
- Serve as an escalator in the Infrastructure team for unresolved system administrator issues.

Qualifications
- 2 years of proactive technical experience in predominantly a Microsoft or Linux environment.
- An Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree with a relevant focus in information technology.
- Strong working knowledge of Windows/PC/Server concepts such as installing peripheral devices, installing software, registering files, Event Viewer, Windows Services.
- Strong interpersonal skills, desire to work in a team setting.
- Experience with troubleshooting principles, methodologies, and issue resolution expectations.
- A knack for keeping the business and your customer in focus.

This role will train in office, but have the opportunity to work remote, in office or some combination following training.
