As a Senior Environmental Project Manager in our Middletown, CT office, you’ll step into a well-established portfolio of active projects and long-standing client relationships. In this role, you’ll lead a broad range of environmental assessment and remediation projects, from fast-moving assignments to complex, multi-year remediation efforts, offering both variety and continued growth as a Senior Project Manager.

What You'll Do:
Plan, coordinate, and manage multiple complex site investigation and remediation projects simultaneously
Provide senior-level evaluation of investigation data and develop site strategies relative to State and federal regulatory requirements
Provide strong business development and client marketing capabilities with existing and new clients, including providing exceptional service in a client-facing capacity
Self-manage and self-motivate to handle multiple projects while producing quality results within the time and budget constraints of each project
Prepare, oversee, and review reports that demonstrate sound conceptual site model development, technical writing, and critical thinking skills
Utilize knowledge of key State and federal regulations (i.e., the Connecticut Transfer Act, Remediation Standard Regulations, Release Based Cleanup Program, Toxic Substances Control Act, etc.) and guidance (i.e., CTDEEP Site Characterization Guidance Document)
Maintain current knowledge of environmental regulations, technologies, and practices
Manage and track project budgets and evaluate project profitability
Train, supervise, and mentor project staff
Collaborate with other members within the organization
Demonstrate a sense of pride, ownership, and commitment to contributing to high-quality results for our clients
What You Bring:
Bachelor's degree within geology, hydrogeology, environmental engineering, or a related discipline
10+ years of experience in site investigation, conceptual model development, and remediation
6+ years in project management, including proven success in developing and managing project scopes, proposals, timelines, budgets, staffing, and associated deliverables
Strong working knowledge of Connecticut environmental laws, regulations, and general practices; strong knowledge of federal laws and regulations preferred
LEP /PE/ PG license, or on track to obtain a license, preferred
A strong understanding of and experience with site characterization, data analysis, and remediation technologies for a variety of contaminants of concern
Demonstrated success working on a variety of projects and for a variety of clients
Desire to work in a collaborative environment, including active participation in office meetings and working groups, as well as willingness to work with regional or company-wide staff from all levels
Demonstrated ability for business development and client satisfaction, including strong interpersonal and communication skills
Commitment to training, mentoring, and supervising staff
Strong problem-solving and strategic thinking capabilities
Ability to adapt and maintain flexibility in the dynamic environment of a growing corporation
Proven approach to hold workplace safety in the highest regard, and the ability to abide by company health and safety procedures and initiatives
Proficiency, adaptability, and the ability to inspire the use of various software, technology, and digital tools
Salary Range:
The compensation range for this position is $105,000 - $140,000, with final compensation determined based on years of experience, qualifications, and licensing status.
Anticipated bands are as follows:
10-18 years of experience - $105,000 - $119,000
18+ years of experience - $120,000 - $140,000
