The HSE Manager directs overall site safety, health, and environmental performance, including programs and policies. Ensures consistency with company strategy,commitmentsand goals. Facilitates andassistsin the identification, evaluation and control of safety and environmental risks in the plant. Provides leadership to facilitateskillsbuilding and training of plant leadership and employees.
Essential Duties:
Ensures the Safety of all employees and reverifies all systems and processes meet safety standards at the facility.
Leads risk management programs; develops and reviews plant programs and procedures toassureaccuracy and consistency.
Ensures the annual training schedule isestablishedand monitors completion of safety training through documentation.
Obtains safety training materials and develops various safety training programs.
Assistsin the tracking of key performance indicators and deliverables providing direction and support to the site.
Manages all workers compensation claims and partners with workers compensation insurer.
Assistsin the review of capital and HSE related projects.
Develops,facilitatesand executes skills building programs.
Establishes and guides the plant Safety Committee tofacilitatethe implementation of pertinent policies and procedures for the assigned operations.
Ensures the Safety Committee is involved in Job Safety Analyses, the behavioral based safety observation process, and other hands-on activities
Consistentlymonitorsand reports on progress of HSE plan to stakeholders.
Presents reports defining progress, opportunities, and potential solutions.Assistsin auditing plant status andprogressand case management.
Compiles plant communication to meet corporate reporting requirements.
Maintains central repository for site safety related documentation.
Reviews required regulatory reports prior to submission.
Facilitates industrial hygiene monitoring for the facilities.
Acts as facility liaison with all HSE regulatory bodies.
Performs other tasks assigned.
Up to 10% travel
Has a critical role in assuring food safety and quality within the manufacturing environment by upholding foodsafety and regulatory policies and responsibilities.
Responsible for following cGMP’s.
Ensure all food safety and quality records are completed accurately andtimely.

Equipment/Software Skill:
Proficiencyin MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint); Proficient in navigating OSHA, EPA and other key EHS regulations and websites.
Preferred Experience
Bachelor's Degree in industrial hygiene, safety or environmental science preferred.
2-3 years experience in a food manufacturing environment preferred.
5+ years of related experience.
