This role is responsible for leading regional offshore wind energy campaigns across the Northeast, including New England, New York, and New Jersey. You will manage and implement campaign activities, cultivate partnerships, and coordinate with internal teams to advance strategic objectives. The position involves engaging with stakeholders, decision-makers, and coalitions to drive policy advocacy and community support for offshore wind development. You will oversee campaign planning, execution, and evaluation while promoting environmental justice and equity principles. This is a highly collaborative and dynamic role, offering opportunities to shape renewable energy initiatives while directly influencing regional clean energy outcomes.
Accountabilities:
- Manage the development and execution of offshore wind energy campaigns at the state and regional level.
- Lead campaign activities across communications, digital outreach, and field efforts, both virtually and in-person.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with partners, stakeholders, and coalitions to support campaign goals.
- Oversee consultants and partner agreements to ensure effective campaign delivery.
- Serve as liaison to internal staff, facilitating coordination and information sharing across teams.
- Represent the organization at coalition meetings, in the media, and directly to decision-makers.
- Support policy and technical education for partners and stakeholders to advance offshore wind objectives.
- Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling, note-taking, and record management as needed.
Requirements:
Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in campaign management, advocacy, or coalition-building.Experience leading multi-stakeholder campaigns and engaging diverse audiences with inclusive approaches.Knowledge of state-level policy advocacy and environmental justice principles, including equity considerations.Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills with the ability to navigate complex issues.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Demonstrated ability to take ownership of projects, work independently, and manage competing priorities.Flexibility, resilience, and adaptability in dynamic and evolving campaign environments.Willingness to travel frequently within the Northeast region and occasionally outside the region for meetings and conferences.
