Marketing Manager
Located in the heart of Western Sydney, Sydney Zoo strives to showcase a broad range of native and exotic animals using technology and advanced exhibit design, with a strong focus on animal welfare, conservation, and educating our visitors about animals and their habitats. The Position
This is an outstanding opportunity to join the exciting team at Sydney Zoo in the role of our Marketing Manager, utilising your skills in an area that you are genuinely passionate about. This role will commence as soon as possible.
The Marketing Manager is responsible for supporting the execution of Sydney Zoo’s marketing strategy in line with overall business and group objectives. This role will support the Head of Marketing & Sales by leading the strategic implementation across the marketing team, and supporting additional planning and forecasting as required.
Skills, Knowledge, and Relevant Experience
ESSENTIAL
- Tertiary qualifications in marketing or equivalent industry experience
- 5+ year’s relevant experience in digital marketing and relevant skills and experience managing traditional channels preferably in tourism or retail
- Proven track record of developing and executing successful digital marketing strategies, including content management, SEO/ SEM, email marketing, and display advertising campaigns
- Strong working knowledge of web analytics, media planning tools e-commerce and online marketing strategies
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement successful eCommerce strategies that drive revenue growth
- Analytic mindset with the ability to leverage data to make data-driven decisions and optimise marketing performance
- Previous extensive experience and commercial achievement as a Marketing 2IC or the equivalent within a marketing and communications department in a competitive environment
- Demonstrated experience leading a team to deliver campaigns from end-to-end including scoping, briefing, execution, optimisation and post analysis and evaluation.
- Team management experience, including setting direction through robust goals and KPIs, monitoring and evaluating work, providing feedback, managing performance. Lead, nurture and develop always.
- Demonstrated judgement and problem-solving skills in a pressured environment, combined with strong ability to prioritise competing tasks.
- Ability to manage cross functional key stakeholders from all levels of the organisation through a collaborative and constructive approach
