Job Description:
TheEnvironmental Specialistsupports the implementation and continuous improvement of environmental programs within a semiconductor manufacturing environment. This roleis responsible forensuring compliance with applicable environmental regulations and internal standards, minimizing environmental risk, and supporting sustainable manufacturing operations. The positionoperatesas an independent contributor, applying professional-level technicalexpertiseto complex processes, hazardous materials, and highly regulatedfaboperations.
Environmental Compliance & Programs
Ensure site compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations (e.g., air, water, wastewater, hazardous waste, chemical management).
Support site sustainability initiativesby driving resource efficiency andimpactreduction acrossenergy, water, waste, recycling, and emissions, including tracking performance, supporting reduction projects, and aligning site activities with corporate sustainability and ESG goals.
Semiconductor Manufacturing Support
Provide environmentalsubject-matterexpertiseforfaboperations, process engineering, facilities, and equipment teams.
Support management of hazardous materials and specialty gases common to semiconductor manufacturing (e.g., acids, solvents, dopant gases).
Risk Assessment & Problem Solving
Develop,maintain, and update environmental procedures, work instructions, and technical documentation.
Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
Partner cross-functionallywith Facilities, Manufacturing, Process Engineering, Supply Chain, and Corporate EHS.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, ora relatedtechnical discipline.
Experience in semiconductor manufacturing, electronics, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, or other highly regulated industrial environments.Demonstrated experience working independently on moderately complex environmental issues.
