Verdantas is seeking an Environmental Engineer Intern to join our collaborative team and gain hands-on experience in solving real-world environmental challenges. This internship offers the opportunity to work alongside engineers, geologists, and scientists on impactful projects, contributing to fieldwork, data analysis, and technical design. If you’re passionate about sustainability and eager to apply your academic knowledge in a practical setting, we’d love to have you on board.
What You'll Do:
- Assist with fieldwork such as sampling various media, conducting site inspections, and supporting field engineers, geologists, and scientists.
- Research, collect, and enter data; apply technical principles to help interpret and analyze environmental and engineering data.
- Assist in preparing engineering‑related calculations, designs, plans, and conceptual models for project development.
- Perform preliminary human health and ecological risk calculations and modeling to support project evaluations.
- Assist with environmental assessments to identify site conditions, potential impacts, and regulatory considerations.
- Prepare technical reports that summarize methods, findings, and recommendations.
- Travel as required to support field activities and project needs.
What You'll Bring:
- Senior pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering, Geology, or Environmental Sciences
- Relevant courses related to principles of environmental engineering, geology, or similar
- Proficient in MS Office products
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Able to conduct some fieldwork with occasional heavy lifting
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER training
- Internship or co-op experience
- Experience in ArcGIS and AutoCAD
- Affiliation and/or certifications with professional associations and networking capabilities
Salary Range:
$65,000.00-$72,000.00
