About the Digital Engagement & Fundraising Specialist:
The Digital Engagement and Fundraising Specialist will lead 350’s supporter acquisition and retention strategy in Europe across email, paid media, and social media, with a key focus on revenue growth and retention in priority European countries. Over the years 350 has built a dedicated community of people who engage with our work in Europe by taking digital actions, amplifying campaigns on social media, making vital donations, or becoming key organisers in our network. With support from the Global Digital Engagement Manager, this role will produce, deploy, and analyze digital content that broadens our European supporter base and optimizes engagement and retention. Additionally, with support from the Global Digital Fundraising Manager, this role will produce, deploy, and analyze fundraising appeals in priority European countries to deliver $500K in annual revenue targets. This individual will work closely with the entire Individual Giving and Engagement Team.
Essential Duties
- Alongside an engagement manager and consultants, oversee digital supporter acquisition in priority European countries (UK, Germany, and France) through email, paid media, and social media channels. This includes strategy development, digital content creation, and deployment.
- Create and manage highly effective ad campaigns (primarily through Meta) through data-driven optimisations and a consistent testing of new approaches.
- Research and strategize new promising digital acquisition channels and methods to grow and diversify our support base.
- Support the creation, testing, and execution of email campaigns to maximize supporter engagement and retention.
- Alongside a fundraising manager and consultants, oversee digital fundraising in the priority European countries to deliver $500K in annual revenue from email, paid media, and other digital channels. This will include strategy development, digital content creation, and deployment that complements the supporter acquisition plan.
- Build and test digital fundraising campaigns that engage with individuals in the priority European countries and drive donations.
- Support with content creation and messaging for those campaigns, including rapid response and evergreen appeals.
- Oversee the execution and evaluation of all fundraising campaigns in Europe.
- Alongside a data manager, support with the reporting of Europe engagement and fundraising progress, as it relates to critical annual goals and benchmarks.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience leading digital marketing and supporter acquisition for European or international organizations.
- 2+ years of experience creating and implementing effective digital fundraising programs that have raised $500K+ annually in Europe or internationally.
- Strong familiarity with digital engagement and fundraising tools and platforms such as Fundraise Up, ActionKit, ActBlue, Meta, Salesforce; plus proficiency with HTML and CSS needed to run digital programs.
- Proven expertise in planning and executing complex email fundraising campaigns, including hands-on experience in building and deploying emails and conducting rigorous A/B testing on subject lines, content, and layouts to optimize conversion rates.
- Detail-oriented with strong project management skills in planning and coordinating multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent technical, analytical, and communications skills.
- High level of confidence and ability to work independently as well as within a team structure; Proven ability to work well with diverse groups of people in different departments, functions and timezones
- Strong interpersonal skills, including verbal and written

- Experience with experimental design, data visualization, and statistical analysis.
- Strong capacity to manage competing priorities
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and protect confidential data
Desired (but not required) skills and experiences
- Strong history of commitment to climate justice and other environmental and social issues.
- Experience working in or collaborating with other nonprofit departments, including finance, individual giving, communications, and grants.
We are looking for someone who is comfortable working both independently and in teams, highly responsive, and able to lead initiatives as well as take direction from others.
Position Type: Full-Time (36 hours per week)

Compensation: We offer set, non-negotiable salaries for each level, and this role is at 350.org's internal salary grade level 2.2. Please review this list for the annual gross salary for this level.
