The ICCT is looking for an intern to join our office in Beijing, working to support thegreen and low-carbon freight projects. This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience in the nonprofit sector, and decarbonization business.
You will:
- Contribute to research projects that analyze and communicate the status of green freight policies, intermodal development andlogistics supply chain decarbonization in China and advanced markets
- Support on technical analysis, reporting, presenting and stakeholder meetings for freight related project
- Supportreport communication and outreach material drafting works
- Deliver ad-hoc tasks as needed
You have:
- Senior undergraduate or graduate student. Preferablemajor in Transportation, Environment Science & Engineering, Automotive, Geoscience or Planning.
- Excellent and demonstrated quantitative, analytical, and research skills. Experienced in working with Microsoft offices.
- Data analysis and visualization skills. Advanced excel, coding, statistical and database tools, GIS tool are preferred.
- Proficiency in spoken and written Mandarin Chinese, strong ability in spoken and written English.
- Ideally with experience or knowledge in transportation planning, vehicle emissions, automotive technologies, or environmental data analysis.
- Good understanding on climate change and transportation will be preferred, enthusiasms on working with researchers and international colleagues.
- Capability to work at least 3 days per week, and on-site work in ICCT Beijing office at least 2 day per week. The intern will be at least 6 months.
Our benefits
The internship contract will have a duration of 6 months, with a potential extension to 12 months. You will work in our Beijing office and be guided by our experienced researchers. ICCT will provide a laptop and other office equipment as needed. We are offering a salary of CNY 3,362 a month (3 days a week), or an amount proportional to the workload allowed by your university.
