The Camp Hill Marching Band is searching for a Battery/Percussion Director for the 2026 season. This individual would be responsible for the educational programming of the drum line throughout the Summer pre-season as well as the Fall competitive season. There is no indoor percussion commitment. This individual would also be responsible for attending and leading marching band practices as well as planning for rehearsals with the rest of the battery instructional staff.
The Camp Hill Marching Band competes in the USBands 3-Open division. Experience performing or teaching in WGI and DCI/DCA is preferred but not required.
Essential Functions:
- Be in attendance for all marching band rehearsals prior to the band camp, any scheduled percussion mini-camps, band camp, and scheduled rehearsals through the marching band season to teach music and assist in drill (if necessary) to the percussion section.
- Attend any competition in which the band is scheduled to perform unless otherwise arranged with the Marching Band Director.
- Supervises other battery/percussion staff members.
- Works with front ensemble director to plan rehearsals and technique program.
- Attend staff meetings as scheduled throughout the year.
- Provides ample notification to the Marching Band Director if scheduling conflicts arise that will lead to missing rehearsals or performances.
