Key Responsibilities:
1. Sales & Business Development
- Drive business growth for testing, certification, and reliability testing services for solar PV modules, cells, and balance-of-system components
- Promote reliability and durability testing programs such as accelerated aging, stress testing, and long-term performance validation
- Identify opportunities related to new product launches, design changes, and bankability requirements
- Achieve assigned revenue, order booking, and account acquisition targets
- Prepare, present, and negotiate technical-commercial proposals
2. Client Relationship Management
- Build strong relationships with Quality, Reliability, R&D, Manufacturing, and Compliance Heads
- Act as trusted advisor on product reliability, field failure prevention, and lifecycle testing
- Coordinate with internal laboratory, engineering, and certification teams to deliver end-to-end solutions
3. Market, Standards & Technical Awareness
- Stay updated on IEC, IS, BIS, MNRE, ALMM, and international reliability requirements
- Knowledge of IEC 61215, IEC 61730, IEC TS 63209, IS standards, and extended reliability protocols
- Exposure to NABL-accredited labs or global TIC organizations
- Understand and communicate reliability test protocols, including:
- Thermal Cycling (TC)
- Damp Heat (DH)
- Humidity Freeze (HF)
- UV Preconditioning
- Mechanical Load & Dynamic Mechanical Load (DML)
- PID, LID, LETID testing
- Extended reliability and sequential stress testing
- Track trends in bankability studies, extended warranty validation, and long-term degradation testing
4. Internal Coordination & Reporting
- Work closely with reliability engineers, test lab managers, and certification teams
- Ensure accurate scoping of test plans, timelines, and costs
- Maintain CRM, sales forecasts, and customer feedback reports
Required Skills & Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical / Electronics / Mechanical / Renewable Energy Engineering
- MBA (Sales/Marketing) is an advantage
Experience & Knowledge
- 5–8 years of sales or business development experience in solar PV testing, certification, reliability engineering, or quality assurance services
- Strong understanding of solar module manufacturing processes and reliability failure modes
- Experience selling accelerated life testing, reliability qualification, or bankability testing is highly preferred
- Existing relationships with solar PV manufacturers, QA teams, or EPCs is a strong plus
