Design Coordination Engineer (Civil)

Job Summary
Nippon Koei India is seeking an experienced Design Coordination Engineer (Civil) to support the effective coordination, review, and integration of multidisciplinary design deliverables for industrial infrastructure projects. The role requires strong expertise in PEB and industrial structures, along with the ability to identify design conflicts and coordinate with consultants for timely resolution.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage civil design activities across multiple disciplines, ensuring alignment with project requirements and timelines.
- Review and interpret design drawings, specifications, and calculations to identify clashes, inconsistencies, and constructability issues.
- Act as the primary interface between internal teams and external design consultants for resolving design-related queries and conflicts.
- Ensure effective coordination between Civil, Structural, PEB, and other allied disciplines.
- Track design deliverables and follow up with consultants to ensure timely submission and compliance.
- Support the Project Manager by providing regular updates on design coordination status and key risks.
- Assist in ensuring designs meet applicable codes, standards, and project specifications.
Eligibility Criteria
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized university.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in a design coordination role.
- Prior experience in industrial structures is preferred.
- Mandatory experience in PEB (Pre-Engineered Building) structures.
- Strong understanding of design coordination processes and multidisciplinary interfaces.
- Excellent communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.
