The Legal Department of Alantra is looking for a young professional to joint its team to support and develop its Spanish and international entities in all related corporate matters, with a specific focus in asset management legal matters which may comprise matter such as:
- Provide legal support on the structuring, launch, and maintenance of investment funds in multiple jurisdictions.
- Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a broad range of agreements regarding our asset management business: including fund documentation, investment management and advisory agreements, distribution arrangements, and service provider contracts.
- Collaborate with compliance, risk, operations, and investment teams to address legal issues across product development, distribution, and portfolio management activities.
- Liaise with external counsel and regulators in various jurisdictions as needed.
- Preparation of regulatory filings regarding the securities market and asset management with national and international supervisory authorities, including for instance, the incorporation of investment vehicles or asset managers.
- Monitor legal and regulatory developments affecting asset management and advise on potential business impact and implementation strategies.
- Support the development of templates for legal documents and other materials to enable the legal team to operate as effectively and efficiently as possible.
Participate in digitalization and innovation projects of the Legal Department
Requirements:
Role requirements:
- Spanish qualified lawyer with 1-2 years of experience, preferably in the funds/asset management area of a law firm or in the legal department of companies within the sector, such as financial institutions, fund management companies, or similar entities.
- Knowledge of financial regulation and equity capital markets will be highly valued.
- Excellent written and verbal presentation skills in Spanish and English. Other languages will be highly valued.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, and provide pragmatic, business-oriented legal advice under tight deadlines.
- Demonstrated ability partnering with international colleagues in different jurisdictions – Experience collaborating with senior stakeholders.
- Commitment, rigorous detail-oriented, attitude and ability to show initiative at work, with the ability to contribute with your own ideas. Team-oriented, flexible, proactive, and solution-driven.
