About the Role:
We are currently looking for Traffic Controller to join our facility in Jersey City, NJ..
Responsibilities:

- Direct and control vehicular and pedestrian traffic within the recycling facility to prevent accidents and maintain safety
- Enforce safety regulations and ensure compliance with traffic management procedures and guidelines
- Use two-way radios or other communications devices to coordinate with drivers, equipment operators, and other staff to manage traffic flow
- Resolve conflicts and address traffic-related issues promptly and professionally
- Maintain records of traffic incidents, accidents, and near-misses, and report them to the appropriate authorities
- Ensure proper placement and visibility of traffic signs, markings, and barriers to guide and regulate traffic
- Assist in the training of new employees and contractors on traffic management and safety protocols
- Other duties may be assigned
Minimum Job Qualifications:
- High School diploma or general education degree (GED)
- One year minimum experience in a heavy industrial setting or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English and Spanish fluently
Preferred Job Qualifications:
- One (1) year of previous relevant work experience, preferably in the compost or similar industry
- Basic awareness of federal, state, and local job site health and safety rules, regulations, and best practices.
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:
Normal work environment is outdoors, with exposure to all weather conditions, dirt, high levels of noise, smells/odors and at times exposure to dangerous and/or toxic substances requiring necessary precautions, including PPE.
