Our Ideal Candidate
This opportunity is ideal for students currently enrolled in Instrumentation, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering or Technology, or related programs who are interested in gaining hands-on experience in both field and office environments. You are curious, detail-oriented, and eager to learn from experienced technologists and engineers. Success in this role means supporting project teams, contributing to safe and efficient project delivery, and developing practical technical skills across multiple disciplines.
A Day in the Life
Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Support Instrumentation, Electrical, and Mechanical teams with day-to-day project activities
- Assist with field work, inspections, testing, and data collection as required
- Support the preparation of technical documentation, reports, and drawings
- Assist with equipment checks, basic troubleshooting, and data organization
- Support office-based tasks related to engineering and construction services projects
- Work collaboratively with technologists, engineers, and project teams
- Follow safety procedures and site-specific requirements at all times
- Learn industry best practices while contributing to real-world projects
What You’ll Bring to the Team
- Currently enrolled in Instrumentation, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or related programs
- Interest in technical, field-based, and engineering support work
- Familiarity with technical drawings, documentation, or software tools is an asset
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Good communication skills and a positive, professional attitude
- Willingness to work in field environments when required
