Description
At All Energy Solar, the sales team is the engine that drives the consumer reach of our solar and roofing solutions. We have operated a successful roofing division for numerous years, and are looking for a sales leader to take us to an even greater place. We’re seeking a qualified roofing sales manager who can help keep this engine running with their own sales skills as well as leadership of a team of driven sales consultants. The ideal sales manager has deep experience with the entire sales process, excelling at lead creation and generation, relationship building, and deal closing. We’re looking for a sales leader who can sell roofing and lead other roofing sales consultants and who has strong negotiating skills — someone with a successful roofing sales track record who can inspire the same performance in others. The role demands a leader who has a sharp mind and an ability to sell and lead, coach, advise, motivate, or replace sales consultants while building and maintaining a high-performance team.
Responsibilities & Essential Functions
Sales Leadership & Team Development
- Serve as a player/coach by actively selling roofing projects while leading, mentoring, and developing the roofing sales team.
- Provide leadership, motivation, coaching, and accountability to ensure individual and team sales goals are achieved.
- Hire, onboard, train, and develop sales consultants; ensure consistent use of effective sales tactics and consultative selling techniques.
- Maintain strong working relationships with sales consultants to support performance, growth, and retention.
Lead Generation & Market Growth
- Create, implement, and manage a scalable roofing lead generation strategy, including door knocking, canvassing, cold calling, referrals, and other proven, repeatable methods.
- Develop and maintain strategies to grow both storm-related and non-storm roofing sales.
- Identify new markets, territories, and opportunities for roofing sales expansion.
- Collaborate with leadership to establish sales goals, growth strategies, and revenue targets.
Storm Response & Field Execution
- Organize and lead storm damage response efforts, including rapid deployment of canvassing and sales teams.
- Train and guide the sales team on storm-related sales approaches, customer education, and urgency-based selling.
- Ensure consistent execution of sales processes in the field and alignment with company standards.
Performance Management & Reporting
- Manage roofing sales team performance and oversee day-to-day sales activity.
- Review and analyze sales and operational data to track performance, forecast results, determine profitability, and identify improvement opportunities.
- Ensure accurate and consistent use of CRM systems and sales reporting tools.
Marketing & Brand Representation
- Partner with the marketing team to support roofing-specific campaigns, lead programs, and brand awareness initiatives.
- Provide field-driven feedback on messaging, customer objections, and competitive insights to improve marketing effectiveness.
- Positively represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and consumer-facing engagements.
- Ensure sales activities align with brand standards and enhance the company’s reputation in the market.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Collaborate closely with operations, production, and customer service teams to ensure smooth handoffs from sale to installation.
- Communicate sales timelines, expectations, and customer needs to internal teams to support a positive customer experience.
- Partner with leadership and internal stakeholders to continuously improve roofing processes, offerings, and customer satisfaction.
- Support alignment between roofing and solar teams to identify cross-sell opportunities where appropriate.
Other Duties
- This position requires work in-home, in-person and virtual customer home appointments/presentations, at events, and company locations and may require additional hours outside of normal working hours including but not limited to mornings, evenings, and weekends.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
Skills/Qualifications
Experience
- 10+ years of sales experience, preferably within the construction, roofing, or renewable energy industries.
- of 5+ years of roofing sales experience (required), including storm-related and non-storm roofing.
- 5+ years of successful experience as a Sales Manager with a proven track record of leading high-performing sales teams.
- Demonstrated expertise in storm damage response strategy and execution.
- Extensive hands-on canvassing experience, including door-to-door and neighborhood-based sales efforts.
- Proven experience selling roofing or other exterior products, including working with insurance claims and adjusters.
- Familiarity with or strong interest in working within the renewable energy industry and integrated solar/roofing sales models.
Technical Proficiency
- Proficiency with roofing estimating and measurement tools such as GAF Quick Roof, Xactimate, or similar platforms.
- Experience using Salesforce.com or comparable CRM systems to manage leads, pipeline, and performance reporting.
- Proficient in Google Workspace (Slides, Sheets, Calendar, Forms, Docs, Gmail) or related productivity tools.
- Ability to measure, track, and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs), ROI, and sales metrics to drive decision-making.
- In-depth understanding of the sales administration process, including contracts, documentation, and handoffs to operations.
- Ability and willingness to conduct in-home roof assessments, including physical inspections and online/remote evaluations.

- Reliable transportation for sales, canvassing, and business development activities.
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer (frequent).
- Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds at times (infrequent).
- Ability to type at least 40 words per minute (frequent).
- Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities.
- Must be able to transport and drive for short and long distances for work related purposes and events.

- This is a full-time, exempt salaried position with an expected annual base salary of $100,000 (DOQ) + additional commission/incentive earning potential (based on performance).
