Position Summary
The Project Engineer delivers design and integration packages for water/wastewater automation projects—developing P&IDs, I/O lists, control narratives, PLC/HMI interfaces, and commissioning support. The role coordinates across disciplines to meet scope, schedule, budget, and quality requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Develop design deliverables (P&IDs, I/O lists, network diagrams, control narratives) and coordinate with CAD.
Support PLC/HMI development, testing, and commissioning; perform loop checks and startup activities.
Prepare submittals, O&M documentation, and as‑builts; address RFIs and change requests.
Work with PMs on task planning, risk identification, and progress reporting.
Ensure compliance with ISA, NFPA/NEC, and Inframark standards; follow QA/QC checklists.
Qualifications
3–6 years of engineering experience in controls/automation or water/wastewater.
Familiarity with PLC/HMI systems (Rockwell, Siemens, Ignition/AVEVA) and industrial networks.
Strong documentation skills and ability to read drawings/specifications.
Education & Certifications
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Controls/Mechanical Engineering or related field; EIT/PE a plus.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements
Primarily office/remote environment with travel to facilities, project sites, and client/vendor meetings as needed. Site work may require PPE, walking/standing on uneven surfaces, and occasional lifting up to 30 lbs. Reasonable accommodations may be made for qualified individuals with disabilities.
