<\/div>We are looking for a M&A Analyst<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/span>to assist in evaluating and executing new development and investment opportunities across different renewable energy technologies (solar PV, wind onshore and offshore as well as BESS)<\/span><\/span>. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>This person will be based in Milan <\/span>(with the possibility of hybrid remote working) <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>and report to the Chief Investment Officer.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>

<\/div>What you’ll do:<\/span><\/span><\/u>
<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>
Contribute to the successful execution of sell -side, buy -side and partnership transactions by working on the whole spectrum from inception to closing;<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
<\/li>Work closely with other departments to gain the necessary understanding of the business model of Galileo and support them with the perspective that comes from the Strategic Planning and M&A function;<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
<\/li>Support in the management of various European development partnerships and the various activities needed (onboarding of projects, preparation of business plans, etc.);<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
<\/li>Analyse and roll -out the strategic entry in new geographical markets and the development of new business models (solar I&C, BESS, floating offshore).<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>

Requirements<\/h3>
What you’ll need: <\/span><\/span><\/u>
<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>
Excellent academic background with a degree in Economics, Finance, Business Administration or Management Engineering (degrees in STEM are also suitable, if accompanied with background in economics or finance);<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
<\/li>Previous work experience within consulting, private equity, infrastructure funds, investment banking/M&A, or corporate M&A functions, with a desirable focus in the energy/renewables business;<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
<\/li>Depending on seniority, strong financial modelling experience and strong analytical and quantitative skills;<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
<\/li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Italian and English. Another European language would be a plus;<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
<\/li>Enthusiasm and self -motivation, including a willingness to take on new challenges and broad responsibilities;<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
<\/li>Ability to prioritize several concurrent tasks in a fast -paced environment and prove resilient in the face of challenges and disappointments.<\/span><\/span><\/span>
