Job Summary:
Liberty Tire Recycling is looking for a Truck Driver Class A route driver. As a Class A Route Driver, you will be going out to main stores to pick up their used tires. You will be going out with a Route Helper, a team of 2. Both of you are responsible for manually loading and stacking these used tires onto the back of the trucks. Each tire can weigh up to 50 lbs. at our Savage MN. facility. In this position the driver can be out on the road for up to 4 nights a week during the busy season.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform routine inspections on assigned equipment and report defects to dispatch through the completion of DVIR's; maintain clean, safe equipment.
- Upholding a high standard of customer service.
- Ensuring the load is correctly placed and secure.
- Understand safe lifting techniques to load tires of all sizes (passenger vehicle, and truck tires).
- Lace passenger tires in a safe manner to reduce injury and optimize load.
- Must be capable of lifting 50 lbs. on a routine basis and 75+ lbs. with assistance.
- Willingness to work in various weather conditions.
- Maintain documents per DOT guidelines, ELD compliant.
- Attend monthly Transportation Safety Meetings.
- Must be capable of lifting 50 lbs. on a routine basis and 75+ lbs. with assistance.
Skills and Abilities:
- CDL Class A License required
- 22 years of age with clean driving record
- Must have and maintain acceptable MVR in compliance with DOT
- Must pass post-offer background, DOT physical and drug test
Education and Experience:
- Prior experience in the tire recycling or manufacturing industry is a plus.
