Title: Shuttle Driver
Employment Type: Temporary/Seasonal

Grade Level: Hourly
Pay Rate: $18/hour
Reports To: Supervisor
Schedule: Must be able to work 2-5 days per week including weekends and holidays. Hours: 10:00 am – 5/5:30 pm, dependent on weather and guest attendance; schedule subject to change through the spring and summer. Occasional after-hours events.
Position Summary
Shuttle Drivers operate the Bronx Zoo shuttle, ensuring that our guests enjoy a safe and fun experience.
**A valid Driver’s License is mandatory**
Responsibilities
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Providing excellent service to guests, including maintaining general knowledge of park attractions and amenities, answering questions and finding ways to create a great guest experience, in accordance with WCS standards of guest service
• Helping guests enter and exit shuttle with special attention to children, elderly, and disabled patrons
• Maintaining order among guests waiting to enter shuttle and safely admitting the appropriate number of guests in a timely manner
• Monitoring area and communicating with guests to ensure their safety
• Maintaining cleanliness and organization of assigned work areas as instructed
• Completing other assignments and helping others on the team as required
• Assist as needed with Event Programming events and special projects
Additional Responsibilities include:
• Assist with holiday, exhibit, and event set-up.

Internal Qualification Requirements
Qualifications:
• Minimum age of 18 years or older
• Valid driver’s license required
• Customer service orientation
• Ability to work effectively in a fast paced environment
• Ability to work outdoors remaining at assigned posts for long periods of time in a variety of weather conditions
• Ability to frequently move objects weighing up to 20 - 50 pounds
• Must be dependable and reliable
Preferred Qualifications
• Prior customer service experience
• Previous Experience speaking in front of large groups or audiences
