Job Summary:
Liberty Tire Recycling is looking for an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic. As an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic, you would be responsible for performing preventive maintenance, diagnosing, and repairing our company's equipment at our Calhoun, GA. facility.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work 12-hour night shift with rotating weekends.
- Perform preventive maintenance on a variety of industrial equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues across a range of manufacturing and processing machinery.
- Troubleshoot and repair industrial equipment using manuals, schematics, technical documentation, and vendor resources.
- Utilize Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures in accordance with company policy and OSHA regulations.
- Maintain accurate documentation related to maintenance activities, including time spent, status of repairs, and completed work.
- Ensure full compliance with OSHA standards and environmental regulations.
- Collaborate with maintenance and operations teams to improve overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
- Perform other duties as assigned by the maintenance supervisor or plant manager.
Skills and Abilities:
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience as an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic in a manufacturing or recycling environment.
- Strong understanding and implementation of preventative maintenance programs.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting machine tool manuals, technical documents, and mechanical/electrical schematics.
- Experience with conveyance systems, including rollers, belts, and related components.
- Familiar with OSHA safety standards and procedures, particularly LOTO and environmental compliance requirements.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced industrial setting.
- Technical certifications in mechanics or industrial electrical systems are a plus.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or vocational certification preferred.
- Prior experience in the tire recycling or broader manufacturing industry is highly desirable.
Compensation:
- $30.00 per hour. Paid bi-weekly.
