Position Summary:
The Site Surveyor is a customer-facing, field-based role responsible for conducting residential site surveys to support the design and installation of solar energy systems. This position plays a critical role in delivering an exceptional customer experience by representing the company professionally in customers’ homes, communicating clearly, and collecting accurate site information. Site Surveyors are expected to be punctual, reliable, clean, and respectful while ensuring homeowners feel comfortable and informed throughout the visit. This role does not require climbing on roofs, and all necessary tools and equipment are provided by the company.
Essential Duties:
- Deliver a positive customer experience by clearly explaining the purpose of the site survey and answering basic questions
- Maintain a clean and tidy work area inside and outside the customer’s home
- Follow all company appearance, conduct, and safety standards
- Arrive on time to scheduled appointments and communicate proactively if delays occur
- Take clear and accurate photos of the home, roof areas, electrical equipment, and surrounding structures
- Ensure all required information is complete and properly submitted after each visit
- Follow all safety protocols while working in residential environments
Minimum Qualifications:
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Dependable, punctual, and detail-oriented
- Comfortable working independently in the field
- Ability to interact professionally with homeowners from diverse backgrounds
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. Regular periods of sitting or standing may be required by this position. In addition, this position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies, up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus.
