Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Intermediate toSeniorEnvironmental Site Assessments and Remediation ProjectManager to join our team! In this role you will get to work closely with a variety of professionals onenvironmentaland infrastructureprojects.
What You'll Be Doing:
The primary responsibilities for this position will include project management, coordinating investigations,designand/orpreparing reports forenvironmental site investigation (ESA), excess soil planning, and remediation projects. Specific job description includes but is not limited to the following:
- Project managementand technical support related tovarious environmental and infrastructure projects, including remediationdesignandexcess soilplanning,investigationand management;
- Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments to CSA and/or regulatory (O.Reg.153/04)requirements;
- Remedial design and site remediationoversight:including excavations, ISCO, bioremediation, permeable and impermeable barriers, and mechanical technologies (air sparge, pump and treat, dual phase extraction,etc.)
- Excesssoil andwastemanagement on infrastructure projects, contributing to planning and design inputs as perO.Reg. 406/19;
- Design support of infrastructure projects (roads/highways, transit,bridges, EAs, sewers/watermains)from a waste/contamination and excess soil perspective;
- Contribute to improvinguponour project processes including field schedules, reporting, dataprocess, health and safety, training, etc.;
- Support business development including proposal preparationon major and minorpursuits and client management;
- Project Management and Coordination: ESA and remediation related projects; Tracking andmaintainingbudgets and projectfinances;PreparingReports;Maintain client relationships in variousindustries;Liaise and support other engineeringdisciplines; Primary point of contactwith clients, junior staff, and other project managers.
- This position supports hybrid work with minimum 2 days in office but could vary based on business needs.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
- Bachelor's Degreein earth sciences,environmental/chemical/geologicalengineeringor similar programs
- 7+ years of consulting experience at an engineering firmwith strong experiencein the applicable federal and provincial environmental laws and regulationswithin a Canadian (preferably Ontario)jurisdiction
- 3+ yearsmanaging contaminated sites projects and portfolios with consulting valuesover $100K
- Strong technical knowledge ofenvironmental site assessments,excesssoilplanningand various remediation approaches
- Experience working with diversemultidiscipline and/or internationalproject teams
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Financially literatefroma project managementperspective
- Process oriented, including adherence to rigorous client andParsonsprocessand policies including but notexclusive toreporting, health and safety, procurement, humanresourcesand IT workflows
- Track recordofdeliveringhigh qualitywork products
What Desired Skills You'll Bring:
- Qualified as a QPESA (i.e. registered as a P.Geo / P.Eng) preferred but not required
- Demonstrated leadership particularly with soft skills-abilityto learn from and train staff.
- Technicalexpertisewithone or multipleenvironmental remediation subjectmatters(ie. emerging contaminants,sediment investigation/remediation, contaminant transport modeling, etc.)
- Broad environmental and engineering knowledgerelated to consulting project delivery.
- Technology/softwaresavvysuch as knowledge of databases, GIS, AI,and other software packages.
- Business Development(networking) and proposal writing acumen.
