The Texas State Aquarium provides high quality, entertaining programming through education, conservation, and wildlife rehabilitation. We strive to provide our guests with an exciting, educational, and memorable experience.
Responsibilities include but are not limed to:
- Use storytelling / improv techniques to connect guests with animals and exhibits, and interpret the mission of the aquarium
- Monitor various exhibits and instruct guests on approved techniques for interacting with animals
- Facilitate public interpretive programs with the use of bio-facts, animal ambassadors, and approved exhibit/ animal guides
- Follow established procedures for opening and closing exhibit areas
- Attend safety trainings and other related professional development courses
- Maintain consistent cleanliness of work and public areas at all stations
- Interact positively with all staff members and volunteers
- Provide exceptional guest service to create a quality guest experience
Requirements
Less than High School diploma or general education degree (GED) is required for consideration; or up to one month related experience or training. An equivalent combination of education or experience would also meet the required qualifications.
