Job Title: Solar O&M Technician

Job Summary:
Our client, a leading solar energy company in Bahrain, is seeking a skilled Solar O&M Technician to join their Operations & Maintenance team. The technician will be responsible for the daily operation, inspection, maintenance, and troubleshooting of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems, ensuring optimal system performance, safety, and reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine preventive maintenance on PV systems, including cleaning, tightening, and visual inspections of modules, inverters, combiner boxes, and related components.
- Conduct corrective maintenance to promptly address system faults and component failures.
- Troubleshoot electrical components such as fuses, breakers, cables, junction boxes, and inverters.
- Assist in testing, commissioning, and verification of new or repaired system components.
- Coordinate with subcontractors for PV module cleaning cycles and ensure activities comply with schedule and safety standards.
- Conduct visual inspections and quality checks post-cleaning to verify performance improvements.
- Adhere strictly to all HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) procedures during work execution.
- Support spare parts inventory management and report material requirements.
- Collaborate with site supervisors or contractors for specialized maintenance activities when needed.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Diploma or ITI in Electrical or Electronics Engineering.
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in solar PV system operation and maintenance (rooftop or ground-mounted).
- Strong understanding of DC and AC electrical systems, inverters, and protection devices.
- Ability to read and interpret single-line diagrams (SLDs) and electrical schematics.
- Familiarity with PV system monitoring platforms (e.g., iSolarCloud, Huawei).
- Knowledge of safety practices and electrical codes.
- Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors and at heights.
- Valid driving license is preferred.
