Enlight Renewable Energy is seeking a Commercial Analyst to support the commercial strategy, development, and optimisation of its renewable energy and storage portfolio across Europe. This role offers a unique opportunity to work closely with development, strategy, and senior management teams, providing deep market insights that directly influence investment decisions, project business cases, and long-term market positioning in dynamic European power markets.

- Conduct in-depth fundamental analysis of European power markets, including wholesale, ancillary services, imbalance, and capacity markets, to support both development and operational strategies.
- Quantify, analyse, and track key market parameters such as ancillary service activation rates, intraday arbitrage spreads, and balancing cost trends.
- Provide real-time monitoring of market developments, identifying emerging risks and opportunities to enable timely and informed commercial decision-making.
- Support the development and continuous improvement of in-house revenue modelling tools by supplying accurate, market-reflective assumptions.
- Develop, enhance, and maintain internal reporting frameworks on energy markets for use by senior management, business development, and strategy teams.
- Contribute to scenario, sensitivity, and stress-test analyses to inform project business cases and long-term market outlooks.
- At least 2 years of experience in energy market analysis, power trading, or energy-focused consultancy, preferably within European electricity markets.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis and visualisation tools such as Python, Power BI, Excel, SQL, or similar.
- Solid understanding of European power market design and revenue mechanisms, including day-ahead, intraday, balancing, and ancillary services markets.
- Experience working with and interpreting market data from sources such as ENTSO-E, EPEX, Nord Pool, and TSO publications.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, or another quantitative discipline.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate complex market dynamics and data into clear, actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders.
