Job Description and Duties
Under the direction of the Accounting Administrator I (Supervisor), the Associate Accounting Analyst (AAA) performs the most complex and high-level analytical duties related to Right of Way program. The AAA is responsible for analyzing and reviewing reconciliations, reports, supporting accounting documents, funds and coding information. This role requires a broad understanding of Caltrans accounting procedures, programs, functions, multiple-fund types, State and Federal regulations and accounting & fiscal systems. The AAA will process Excess Land transactions, Expenditure Adjustment and various types of Right of Way Capital Outlay payments. Participate in activities with the Right of Way Program to enhance business process and working relationships with Headquarters and District staff. The incumbent will act as a year end coordinator, perform internal control review and monthly Schedule III Reconciliation. Review and sign claim schedules. This role requires a high level of autonomy, analytical expertise and the ability to lead and train section staffs. Provide coverage for the section during supervisor's absence.
Eligibility for hire may be determined by your score on the Associate Accounting Analyst exam.
