Contract Manager
Under the direction of the Office Chief for Central Region Services--Admin Support, the incumbent is responsible for Consultant Service contract administration. Incumbent will manage Architectural and Engineering contracts for the Central Region. Incumbent in this Supervisory position will provide support and direction to all other staff in the execution of contracting responsibilities. The scope of supervision received will require a large degree of independence in managing consultant services contracts. Will be responsible for the coordination of On-Call, Project Specific, Multiphase, Specialty and occasional contracts. Additionally, the incumbent will facilitate in the procurement and administration of Architectural and Engineering contracts.

Working Conditions
Position located at 2015 E Shields Ave. Ste 100 Fresno CA 93726, Fresno County. Multiple positions may be filled from this recruitment. Incumbent will primarily work in a climate‑controlled environment under artificial lighting. Subject to Management approval, direction and/or operational necessity, the incumbent would be required to perform in a telework environment, which includes managing staff working remotely. The incumbent may be required to travel in one‑day trips as well as overnight trips or extended travel may be required. The incumbent may occasionally be exposed to a variety of altering weather conditions (extreme cold or hot weather), work outdoors, and may be exposed to dirt, noise, uneven surfaces, extreme heat or cold.
This position may be eligible for telework. The amount of telework is at the discretion of the Department and based on Caltrans’s evolving telework policy. Caltrans supports telework, recognizing that in‑person attendance may be required based on operational needs. Employees are expected to be able to report to their worksites with minimum notification if an urgent need arises. The selected candidate will be required to commute to the headquartered location as needed to meet operational needs. Business travel may be required, and reimbursement considers an employee’s designated headquartered location, primary residence, and may be subject to CalHR regulations or applicable bargaining unit contract provisions. All commute expenses to the headquartered location will be the responsibility of the selected candidate.
