You will join a team of professionals versed in their respective subject matters and together support the client at an environmental remediation site in California.
The ideal candidate will have experience in:
- Groundwater and/or soil remediation and monitoring,
- Environmental site investigation and response alternatives,
- PFAS projects,
- CERCLA RI/FS, decision process, work plan, reporting,
- Periodic remedy review,
- Property transfer and land use controls,
- Project coordination and management.

Job description:
- Technical support. Provide technical review of and comments on CERCLA remediation project documents (prepared by others); facilitate comment resolution; and oversee the delivery and distribution of the documents. Use existing site data and records to support document development. Use knowledge of federal and state environmental regulations, and standards and policies.
- Provide technical support of environmental due diligence documents such as Environmental Condition of Property (ECP), Finding of Suitability to Transfer (FOST), and Covenant to Restrict Use of Property (CRUP); and work with the stakeholders to reach comment resolution and task completion.
- Meetings. Provide technical assistance to manage internal meetings and meetings with regulatory agencies. Develop meeting agendas with input from the client and other project leaders; participate in meetings; develop or review meeting summaries; and document, identify and track action items.
- Community relations support. In coordination with the client and the community outreach office: facilitate or support community outreach actions; coordinate project activities with local agencies and other stakeholders; provide technical support to community outreach events and associated preparatory meetings; review and comment on fact sheets, newsletters, and public notices; and develop responses to community comments on released documents and notices.
- Other support. Align work activities appropriately with other related project aspects such as: munitions response and prescribed burn programs. Participate in assigned tasks.
Basic Qualifications:
- 4-year degree in environmental sciences, environmental management, or engineering sciences. Master's degree preferred, but not required.
- 5 years of experience in managing and/or supporting an environmental restoration program.
- Possession of 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER training with current 8-hour refresher preferred.
- Self-starter and problem solver.
- Knowledge of federal and state environmental regulations.
