DescriptionWSP is currently seeking a CAD Designer to join our GCC Team in Bengaluru/Mumbai to support Toronto office (Constellation Court). Our team specializes in geotechnical, environmental, and hydrogeology & Mining engineering services.
ResponsibilitiesUse standard survey practices to efficiently draft accurate survey plans from information gathered in the field and office
Draft plans using the standards set out by WSP
Maintain familiarity with current techniques and developments
Actively work at improving drafting skills and increase current knowledge of surveying
Draft plans using the standards set out by WSP using current customizations
Ensure that the quality and accuracy of all plans for which you have responsibility meet WSP standards before they are sent in for checking
Other duties as assigned.
QualificationsExperience in the Environment field, primary work will include producing design drawings as per engineering requirements as well as producing as-built drawings.
Experience producing the following types of drawings are an asset.
At least 5 to 7 years' experience using AutoCAD and related software in the preparation of survey related plans for the engineering sector.
Excellent software skills with a good understanding of AutoCAD, MicroStation Civil 3D user interface.
Preprations of Surface modelling, Experience in Corridor modeling, Site Grading, Setting out design, Earthworks Quantity and Cross section.
Good Understading of Projecting different design data over long sections and managing projection styles.
Strong Understanding of Coordinate systems and georeferencing and drawing setup within Civil3D.
Perform and Manage existing and proposed surfaces using Points/Breakines, Contours and Survey data.
Ability analize design data and perform complex grading models for Ponds/ Basins/ Sumps using featurelines, stepped offsets principle.
Perform Cut and Fill analysis and ability to generate Stage Storage Cure analysis to identify sump/ basin capacity.
Strong Understanding of earthwork principles and Site Grading strategies.
Knowledge od CAD standards and drawing management and Sheet Set Manager.
Familier of Map3D environment within Civil3D is added advantage.
An understanding of the basic principles of surveying and survey plan requirements.
Ability to work in a fast paced environment with strict deadlines.
Ability to work well as part of a team or on an individual basis.
The capacity to learn new software and be open to new ideas.
Ability to identify and set priorities; effective time management.
Strong attention to detail.
