Environmental Compliance Intern

What You'll Do:
- Assist with data collection, entry, and reporting for City Utilities' environmental and public health programs.
- Support compliance programs, public outreach events, and preparation of regulatory documents.
- Coordinate with water filtration and pollution control facilities to track environmental reports.
- Help update Standard Operating Procedures and assist in fieldwork and laboratory tasks.
- Assists in the City's Water Pollution Control Plant laboratory.
- Organize and maintain environmental records and assist with software data input.
Must-Have Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in or recent graduate from a degree program in environmental science, biology, sustainability, public health, or a closely related field or are a recent graduate from a related program.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to interact professionally with the public and colleagues.
- Basic math and reasoning skills; ability to follow instructions and problem-solve in standardized situations.
- If using a City vehicle: valid Indiana Driver's License or equivalent with verified driving record.
