Agricultural Sustainability Program Manager – Maternity Cover
Pollination is looking for an Agricultural Sustainability Program Manager to support our Food & Fibre Corporate Advisory team in Australia. This is a fixed contract for a maternity leave contract, however a permanent role may be considered longer term if there is availability in the team. The role can be based in Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane.
In this role, you will be responsible for leading one of the programs of work that we are delivering for our agricultural corporate clients to drive sustainability outcomes in their value chains. There will also be broader support for the team in leading our advisory support for corporate, financial institutions and governments in driving climate and nature outcomes in agricultural supply chains. Project management and consulting skills are critical, as well as technical expertise in relevant sustainability and agricultural-adjacent roles.
The desired candidate will ideally have
- 5-8 years in house or advising on sustainability, with 5-10 years in general professional experience;
- Professional experience at an agricultural or food/fibre-related corporate, or advising agricultural clients;
- An understanding of agricultural supply chains and agricultural decarbonisation pathways and implementation;
- An understanding of carbon markets, with ideally an understanding of the Australian carbon credit scheme;
- Experience in program coordination, service contracting and stakeholder management;
- Exceptional analytical and interpersonal skills;
- Experience managing projects or client engagements;
- Experience managing staff in a collaborative and inclusive style;
- Drive to find strategic solutions that help our clients deliver net zero and build climate resilience;
The successful candidate is likely to have advanced university qualifications in economics, finance, business, agriculture, science, technology, engineering or a closely related field, and relevant experience in both sustainability and agriculture.
