Job Description Summary
The Advanced Nuclear Senior Project Manager will focus on deployment and execution projects related to GE Vernova’s small modular reactors (SMR). This position will primarily focus on support of construction of a SMR unit being constructed in Canada. This role will report to the Project Portfolio Leader, while supporting the respective Project Director and Project Managers in planning and executing contracts for the design and construction of SMRs around the world; including managing the quality, cost and schedule of the execution process.

Roles and Responsibilities
As the Senior Project Manager, you will:
- Mentor and train junior project managers and project management specialist working on the OPG Darlington team
- Lead recovery plans for emergent issues
- Integrate GVH project management systems and reporting tools with customer systems
- Monitor project budgets and schedules and raise issues to the Project Manager and Project Director
- Monitor task and coordinate with functional support teams to resolve issues
- Develop and issue the Project Management Plan and related project plans and project procedures; facilitate the implementation of project plans and project procedures across the larger project team
- Support the development and deployment of project infrastructure and project tools
- Support coordination of project activities; monitor and control progress on project deliverables
- Ensure the conformance of project deliverables with contract and project requirements
- Organize and archive project correspondence and records consistent with Project Configuration Management Plan
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college and 2 years experience as a project manager or a high school diploma / GED with at least 5 years of experience working on projects
- Proven professional experience in project management, engineering or business.
Eligibility Requirements
- For the United States the work location for this role will at our headquarters in Wilmington, NC. For Canada the work location will be at our site in Markham, ON, Canada.

Desired Qualifications
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering or STEM
- Prior people leadership experience
- Nuclear power experience in operations or engineering
- Proficient with project management software tools (Primavera, MS Project, etc)
- Fundamental-level financial or accounting knowledge
- Experience or familiarity with Boiling Water Reactor (BWR) or Sodium Fast Reactor (SFR) designs
- Knowledge of the power industry, customer, and competitive environment
- Financial control knowledge and understanding
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, etc.)
- Demonstrated organizational skills, particularly when related to project execution

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $132,200.00 and $220,400.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas.
