Job Description Summary
The Labor Relations role is responsible for providing expert guidance and support in labor relations matters to ensure alignment with business goals and compliance with collective bargaining agreements (CBAs). The role requires a strong understanding of business operations and labor laws, with direction from senior HR partners. This position is strategically allocated based on current business needs, focusing on fostering positive labor relations and effectively managing labor-related challenges within the organization. The specialist will play a key role in negotiating, interpreting, and implementing CBAs, and will serve as a vital liaison between management and labor representatives.
Job Description
Key responsibilities
Role Scope:
- Collect & challenge the I/C data (information & consultation data)
- Build consultation materials as needed
- Ensure execution of agreements
- Lead negotiations with the mandate from HR
- Manage union relationship
- Supporting expertise and controls
- Collective agreement litigations
- Play a coordinator role with labor authorities
- Manage negotiations and follow-up with the unions
- Partnership with the legal entity HR leads
- Regular meetings with the works councils
- Manage site establishments, learning activities, coordinating meetings
- Generate and communicate mandatory/labor required reports (i.e., gender, disability) –
- Other adhoc related activities
Role Requirements:
- Business knowledge (get direction from global regional partners but need business knowledge) & CBA knowledge
- Fluent in Local language
- Labor relations knowledge
