We’re looking for a Graduate Project Consultant to join our fast-growing Corporate Sustainability Advisory team. You’ll work on real-world sustainability challenges - from climate risk and decarbonisation to strategy and disclosure - across key industries including mining, manufacturing, agribusiness, property and retail.

Although the role will be based in Melbourne/Sydney, you will also work regularly with our wider APAC team in New Zealand, Singapore and China, and connect with colleagues across the globe.
What you’ll do
Our current team of 30 talented consultants across the region are high performing and have fun outside of work. With a great 2025 and exciting projects in the pipeline, we are now looking for an early career consultant to be part of our growth. Key responsibilities of this role include:
- Supporting delivery of sustainability projects for national and multinational clients
- Conducting research and stakeholder engagement (interviews, surveys, focus groups)
- Analysing data using tools like Excel and GIS to inform strategy and decision-making
- Preparing client-ready reports and presentations with clear, compelling narratives
- Assisting in proposal development and business development activities
- Representing SLR at industry events, panels, and conferences to grow your network
What we’re looking for
We’re looking for someone who’s passionate about sustainability and eager to learn. You don’t need to tick every box – if you meet most of these, we’d love to hear from you:
- A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g. Environmental Science, Sustainability, Business, Engineering) - a Master’s degree is a plus
- Passion and interest in sustainability and responsible business practices
- Understanding of core concepts of climate science
- Interest or experience in areas such as:
- Corporate sustainability strategy development, including targets and implementation plans
- Research and trend analysis, including corporate benchmarking
- GHG accounting and development of Scope 1–3 emissions analysis
- Net-zero frameworks (such as SBTi)
- Climate risk assessments and scenario analysis
- Decarbonisation strategy development
- Reporting frameworks (such as GRI, ASRS, TCFD, IFRS ISSB)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to interpret and communicate complex data clearly
